When we went to university we assumed that we were being prepared to teach children to read. The reality is that we weren’t. We weren’t being prepared to teach reading and we weren’t being prepared to support students struggling to learn to read. In this video I bring you a list of the things that, had we known about then, would have made a difference for a large number of children.
